Support for Women
CCD support for Rural Women
CCD has for the past few years supported women in rural Devon to access business development services in addition to increasing skills and employment opportunities. Much of this work has stemmed from an original piece of research undertaken in July 2005, by Hannah Cameron. See full document report [Here]

Project officers, Olivia and Jan are the women's team delivering these projects on the ground.

Jan delivers the WAM project. Jan's background is in training, development, life and corporate coaching. She has worked for many years with women in a business and personal setting. Jan used to run a large management training centre in Hertfordshire before setting up her own business in the South West. This specialised in consultancy, training and coaching, in addition to running personal development workshops for women. In her sapre time Jan adores the countryside and spending time beach combing. When asked what her favourite quote is, Jan sites Orson Welles, 'Visions are worth fighting for. Why spend your life making somone else's movie.'

Olivia works with community groups to support them in becoming "Learning Hosts", providing support and community-based learning opportunities to women in North Devon and Torridge.
